We Won’t Know Until We Try
I am writing this blog with a bit of relief after one self-hosted workshop this weekend and the successful completion of 9 sessions for a "coaching jack" event in which I participated as a coach.
I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive about this schedule at first, but I think I did my best and was able to finish in good shape!
There were a few things I worked on before this weekend, so I will share them with you.
1. Finish all the preparations I could
Preparation for workshops and coaching was completed in advance, including the preparation of materials.
I also completed all other things I was concerned about as much as possible so that I could focus on this work. By doing so, I created a state of mind and environment where I could concentrate without distractions.
2. Visualize
I share this often at my workshops and other events, but I consciously imagine what the day or week ahead is going to look like.
When I know that I will have an obviously busy schedule like this one, I will do that visualization and imagine it being done successfully. This way, I feel like I am simulating that schedule once, and I will be mentally prepared in advance.
3. Take a walk or do some other physical activity
I usually go for a walk twice or three times a day. Fortunately, there is a shrine in the neighborhood that is amazingly rich in nature, so I go there to get fresh air and meditate.
After I do all of these preparations in my own way, I just give it a try!
Try it out, see how I feel, and make any adjustments that are necessary.
I also believe that it is important to know whether you did your best, and in the end, it all comes back to you like a boomerang.
This past weekend, I felt that I wanted to move forward without forgetting to be grateful for all of the encounters and the people around me.
I'll share with you some pretty plum blossoms I saw on my walk!
Wishing you all a good week ahead filled with smiles.
