Quality “Me” Time

I suddenly thought about wanting to go see the ocean (and eat something delicious!) so I went on an impromptu trip to the coast.

It was my attempt to get some personal “tuning” time in, to continue making progress on what I’m studying right now, and simply to nourish myself with good food. I also just really wanted to see the ocean.

I had been a bit tired, and I was starting to feel my positivity waning, so it was really necessary for me to take this trip. I’m glad that I am aware enough of myself that I can prevent any kind of burnout.

I know that if I don’t take care of my well-being, then I don’t perform well at work. As a business professional, I think this is the most important part of my job.

So when I came back from the trip and got back to work, I felt that I was much more energized and ready to handle any task or communications with others.

This connects to one of the main purposes of my recent 7-day Efficiency Challenge: to value your own time.

It boils down to how you not only manage your time but manage your relationship with yourself. The more you understand your own needs, the more your relationship with yourself improves.

What do you consider as quality time for yourself? Have you thought about what that would be?

Even if it’s just a few minutes a day, I think that makes all the difference.

It’s getting warmer and warmer here in Japan; I hope you have a wonderful week!
