Put a Smile in Your Heart

The rainy season in Tokyo brings lots of mugginess and the changing weather can really affect our health.

It’s so important to manage our well-being, as it has a direct impact on our life and work.

Before I start working every day, I meditate for about 10 minutes. I wanted to share the phrase that left an impression on me during this morning’s meditation.

It’s difficult for me to meditate on my own, so I do a guided meditation using an app, trying out different ones and enjoying the process.

I knew that this week was going to be hectic, with a lot of tasks ahead of me.

So instead of jumping right into work, I started listening to one of my favorite teachers’ meditation.

This was the phrase that gave me the peace and strength to start the week off on a positive note:

“Don’t forget to put a smile in your heart. And if you’re about to forget, just gently put your hand over your heart.”

Our own state-management is really important, especially because we’re living in such a fast-paced world, in a strange time that has been going on for a while now.

Managing our wellness doesn’t have to take that long. Just these few minutes in the morning really helped and propelled me in a much better direction. It’s all about that small awareness, and being conscious of keeping that smile in my heart.

How do you normally take care of yourself? How much quality time do you spend for yourself every day?

Wishing you a beautiful week, and lots of smiles in your heart!
