Let’s have fun being human!

During a work meeting the other day, someone said, “Let’s have fun with this; let’s enjoy the process,” referring to the projects we were working on.

We concluded that everything isn’t all fun and games every day, but because of that, we can make “having fun” an important aspect of our work environment.

I’ve experienced so many situations in which I’ve had to go through some tough times when it came to work, often dealing with make-or-break situations for the entire corporation. During these hard times, it’s easy to focus on the hardship and the problems.

In the past, I wasn’t able to think about having fun or enjoying the process during these challenging times. So I thought, at what point did that change?

It was simply when I decided to be more conscious of my own perceptions.

Before tackling any project, I visualize how to approach the project as a whole. If it’s going to be a difficult one, I think about the “fun” that’s waiting at the end of accomplishing it, really getting into the feeling of it.

I might be doing the exact same things in terms of my tasks, but just this slight change in attitude can really affect the quality and outcome of the work itself.

During this shaky time in the world when there are massive changes, I want to really prioritize this feeling of enjoying living as a human being.

Prioritizing that means prioritizing my time with loved ones, valuing the importance of quality in my actions, and simply enjoying being myself as I move forward.

We’re already halfway through January, wow!

I hope it’s a fun week for you - enjoy!
