Focused in the Moment

There’s been one thing I have really been conscious of in regards to communication, especially the past several months, and that is really being present with the person I’m communicating with.

It’s not that I wasn’t careful of this before, but I felt that without this in-the-moment focus, I noticed that the other party wouldn’t be as focused either, or we wouldn’t be able to deepen our understanding, or in some cases, time was wasted unnecessarily because of it.

I also felt that I should never forget about showing my respect to the other person.

How much are we really focused on our conversations? Or even in moments outside of conversations? It seems so basic, but I think it’s easy to forget.

These days, there’s so much information flowing in constantly, distracting us from all different angles.

Just for those few minutes, really be present in the moment.

I think this is the key to improving our communication with others, and to respect one another.

Amidst all the chaos, we’re having the Olympics in Tokyo soon. The competitions are all about being focused and present in the moment, and I’m cheering the athletes on.

Wishing you a beautiful week full of smiles!
