Our Five Senses

Are you conscious of your five senses on a day-to-day basis?

It’s been about a year and a half since the state of the world has been the way it is.

I was watching the sky from my balcony and thought about this: there are parts of the five senses that kind of get ignored in these times.

I love music. There was a song that I had discovered the other day and I listened to it intentionally.

Reading the lyrics while the song played, thoroughly focused on it, all kinds of emotions started pouring out, along with my tears.

I think it was a time for me to release some of these emotions and the song was a catalyst for that.

Also, I think it was a message from my body: “Use and take care of the senses you normally don’t use!” It also gave me the inspiration to do the best I can in whatever I need to face.

With work, in their personal life… there are so many people around me who are really trying their best.

And within that, if we bring in our five senses and take care of our emotions, I know that things can shift and we can face things in a whole new way. It’s a way to reconnect to our true selves.
