Catching Up Face-to-face
Last week was the first time in a long time that I had many opportunities for face-to-face meetings, and I felt the importance of meeting in person. I am sure that some of you have been having more and more opportunities to meet face-to-face recently.
First of all, I would like to share what I felt when I met with the new management team from New York.
If I had known them for a long time, it might have been different, but there was a general "atmosphere" that I could feel from meeting them in person.
For example, the person's height, rhythm of their breath, etc.
If you only have online meetings, you can only get a glimpse of the "on" side of the person.
This time, we had a Christmas and New Year's Eve party for the first time in three years, so I was able to see more laid back, casual sides of them as well.
It was also a time when I reaffirmed that it is important to feel the overall energy of a person by talking with those whom I have known for a long time and catching up on their recent activities.
Of course, it is difficult to meet face-to-face all the time. I think it will be important to establish a good form of hybrid system in the future.
I also felt that the establishment of a hybrid method that suits the team and the organization is something that will be increasingly sought after as we go from here.
Do you have any ideas for face-to-face meetings at your company?
What do you feel will be required in the future?
And in your personal life, is there anything you feel when you have a chance to meet with someone for the first time in a while?
As we enter the middle of December, I think most of us are getting busier and busier.
Let's all take care of ourselves and enjoy the nice "atmosphere" of this time of year!
I wish you all a week with as many smiles as possible!
