#203 Three Essential Project Management Skills
This is the second in a series of project-related articles that I started last week. This time I would like to share with you regarding the specific skill sets required of a project manager.
The first skill is communication.
I believe this is the most important skill set.
And this is also the starting point!
I believe this will be a necessary skill set in the coming era when diverse working styles will become the standard.
For example, I believe it is necessary to work toward the goal of a project in different places and in different positions.
And, above all, since any project requires a support team, I believe this can also be connected to achieving goals through communication.
The next skill is balance.
Balance and flexibility!
The reason is that projects need to lead to a point of agreement among various conditions and opinions.
So, this is also an important skill set.
And this balance and flexibility is also my personal motto.
This is because I believe that things are not made up of a single element, but are made up of a set of complex elements.
And finally, judgment.
There are times when a lot of judgment is required in order to lead a project to its goal.
For this reason, I believe it is important to be aware of judgment and discernment on a regular basis.
When you are inevitably called upon to make a decision in a situation that you feel is a challenge, will you be able to respond immediately?
It is important to be aware and prepared on a regular basis.
I believe that these skill sets are "survival skills" that are necessary for any life situation.
I would be happy if you could try applying them to your own cases and see if you notice anything.
The weather in Japan continues to be extremely hot, so please take care of yourselves and stay well!
I wish those of you in Japan as well as other countries a week with as many smiles as possible!
