#173 Life is about timing, and action/doing!

A few days ago, a friend from my college days contacted me via Facebook and we met again for the first time in about 30 years. I realized once again that life is all about timing, and that repeated action can bring about change.

First of all, it is the same with this reunion.

Last week was my birthday, so I received the invitation along with a congratulatory message.

She is not usually in Tokyo, but since she is in Tokyo now, she said she would love to see me again.

We set a date for that day, and we met again a few days later.

First of all, my birthday was the trigger for the message.

On the same day, we decided on a date and place, and then we met again for the first time in about 30 years.

I believe that a combination of timing, action, and execution brought about this result.

For example, if it had not been for the timing of my birthday, would we have started exchanging messages?

Even though we exchanged messages, what if we had just left it open-ended, just saying, "Hope to see you sometime!"

I think there was a possibility that the reunion would still not have happened.

And I feel that things are not just one factor, but a composite of factors.

Also, as I talked with my friend about our life events, I was reminded that life is a repetition of timing, action, and execution.

Of course, this applies to career paths as well.

For example, let's say there is a good position available.

You’re curious about it, so you ask for more details, or consider submitting a resume.

Or you are curious but take no action.

Even if you don't end up getting the position, the fact that you took action will remain with you.

Is there something that you are currently unsure about, but have not acted on or done?

Are there any projects for which you are waiting for the right moment to come?

Why are you waiting for the “right time”?

I feel that everything is up to ourselves.

It is said that the strongest cold wave will hit Japan from tomorrow.

It is expected to affect the whole country, so please be careful.

I wish all of you, including those in other countries and regions, a week with as many smiles as possible!
