Commitment to Yourself

Last week I held a year-end premier edition of my 7-Day “Boost Your Efficiency” Challenge, and I also had my individual ongoing coaching sessions over the weekend on both days. The keyword that came up in my mind during these sessions was "commitment” - not just to others and what we’re doing, but most importantly, to one’s own self.

First of all, I would like to share my impressions of the daily reports from the participants of the Boost Your Efficiency Challenge.

Although there were differences from person to person, they all gave very detailed reports on their daily tasks and situations.

I especially felt this time that although the reports were addressed to me, they ultimately came from their commitment to themselves.

When awareness and action comes from oneself, it leads to taking full responsibility for any results.

As is the case every time, I felt the commitment of the Challenge participants to themselves from their reports.

The same is true of the reports from the clients of the individual ongoing sessions.

As the word "personal" coaching implies, without their commitment, things would not progress even one millimeter.

And I, as a coach, think that the commitment of the service provider is a very important part of the coaching process.

I think there is a synergistic effect that comes from showing commitment from both sides.

And is there a human, imperfect quality to that commitment?

It is precisely in these challenging times in the world that I would like to emphasize the importance of humanity - of being real, striving for improvement but embracing our humanness.

It seems that at the end of last year, I also wrote about commitment in this blog.

What do you commit yourself to?

And is there an element of humanity in it?

It's the last week of November! I know many of you have plans, so please take care of yourself!

I wish you all a week with smiles on your face!
